Baku. 22 February. REPORT.AZ/ Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) has nominated Mustafa Şentop, deputy from Tekirdağ, for the post of speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Report informs citing the NTV television that today he will present documents on his candidacy for the post of the Parliament Speaker.

Şentop is currently the Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Elections of the parliament speaker will be held on February 24.

Notably, Mustafa Şentop was born in Tekirdağ, Turkey, on August 6, 1968. He graduated from faculty of Law of the Istanbul University. He received master and doctoral degree in Law at Marmara University.

He was the Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party in 2012-2015. Mustafa Şentop knows English and Arabic languages. He has 4 children.
