Mustafa Sentop: 'Elections in Türkiye will end in first round'

"Based on my experience, I can say that the elections in Türkiye will end in the first round," Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Sentop said, Report informs via Turkish media.

According to the Speaker of the Parliament, the results of pre-election polls may not be objective: “There are quite a lot of polls. We hear the names of some companies that conduct these polls for the first time. Their activity is aimed at manipulating public opinion. Similar cases are found in other countries."

Mustafa Sentop noted that Türkiye is led by the winner of the elections, and not the leader of public opinion polls: "It is wrong to determine politics only on the basis of polls. It is a mistake to approach politics only as elections and surprises. The current stability must be preserved for the sake of Türkiye's independence. Over the past 20 years, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Türkiye has done a lot of great things, and today we see their results in the international arena."

The presidential and parliamentary elections will be held in Türkiye on May 14.
