MP from ruling party in Armenia appointed to new position

A member of Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party, Arusyak Julakyan, has joined the Competition Council created to select candidates for the positions of members of the Corruption Prevention Commission, Report informs referring to Armenian media.
The corresponding decision was made on December 27 at an extraordinary meeting of the Council of the National Assembly.
The press service of the parliament reported that the meeting was chaired by Speaker Alen Simonyan. He said that the faction of the Armenia bloc nominated deputy Tadevos Avetisyan, and the faction of the Civil Contract party nominated deputy Julakyan. The “I Have the Honor” faction did not nominate a candidate.
