Agri Dagi mountain opens for climbers in Turkey

The Agri Dagi mountain in eastern Turkey, which has been closed to tourists and climbers for more than five years, will become available again for climbing from February 4, Report informs, referring to RIA Novosti.
The mountain was declared a special security zone and wasn’t accessible for visits in 2015 when operations against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party or PKK terrorists resumed in the country’s east.
"After a long break, winter ascents to the Agri Dagi mountain begin. The coaches of our federation will do it first," the Turkish Mountaineering Federation said in a statement.
