Moscow may reach highest COVID incidence by end-week

Peak values for the incidence of coronavirus can be reached in Moscow by the end of the week, city Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the air of the Rossiya 1 TV channel, Report informs referring to TASS.
“We lived for two autumn months with practically no restrictions, but we see that the autumn wave of ARVI coupled with a new strain of coronavirus gives quite a lot of synergy and we see how the number of diseases starts to increase every week,” the mayor said.
The number of people infected with coronavirus infection in Moscow over the past day has increased by 8,166 to 1,753,847, and 79 deaths were registered, which was the highest since July 29.
