Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian appointed Mohsen Esmaeili as Vice President for Strategic and Parliamentary Affairs, Report informs, referring to the Iranian president’s website.
In a decree issued on Tuesday, President Pezeshkian cited Esmaeili’s competence, along with his scientific and executive experience, as the basis for his appointment.
The president expressed his expectation that the newly appointed VP will adopt appropriate strategic policies and engage effectively with Iranian legislators to enhance the relationship between the executive and legislative branches of government.
Pezeshkian also urged Esmaeili to leverage the experience of senior managers and the extensive capabilities of elites, think tanks, and civil society institutions to monitor major domestic and international developments, aiming to achieve the goals outlined in the Constitution, the 20-Year National Vision Document, and the general policies approved by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
He called on Esmaeili to take responsibility for the Center for Strategic Studies and to effectively utilize resources to elevate it to the level of a vice presidency, ensuring full cooperation from all governmental bodies.
