Minister: Türkiye - only country working to end war and achieve peace in Ukraine

Türkiye is a state and political actor whose views are taken into account in the world, mediating between the parties, and trying to improve relations with all countries, the country's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at the "Türkiye's foreign policy in the 100th year of the Republic" symposium, Report informs.

He said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye has the highest number of martyrs after the security agencies: “This was the main reason why I was interested in diplomacy in my youth. Despite all threats and attacks, we continue serving the diplomacy.”

Cavusoglu recalled that Türkiye is the only country working toward ending war and achieving peace in Ukraine: “Nevertheless, we continue our duty. We do not stop fighting racism and Islamophobia.”

According to the minister, the Turkish Foreign Ministry adequately fulfilled its duties during the coronavirus pandemic and the terrible earthquake that occurred on February 6: “I am proud to work in such an institution. We will work to build a fairer world in the 100th year of Türkiye.”
