The normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations will be a big step for the region, Austrian Federal Minister for Europe and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg said at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan on February 2, Report informs via Sputnik Armenia.
According to him, it is necessary to build trust and reduce tensions in the region.
“Steps are being taken to normalize relations with neighbouring Turkey. This will be a big step for the Armenian people and the region as a whole,” he said.
Schallenberg visited Armenia on February 2. The visit will end on February 3.
