Minister: Four-lateral meeting may be held between Turkish, Russian, Iranian, Syrian leaders

Recently, we held a four-lateral discussion with our counterparts from Russia, Iran and Syria in Moscow, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar told NTV, Report informs.

He said that Türkiye's priority is border security: “Our desires are not illegal. We said in Moscow that we respect the sovereignty of all our neighbors. We also said that the number of Syrians in Türkiye is already sufficient. In other words, we cannot host more Syrians in our country.”

The minister emphasized that certain results can be achieved thanks to future steps: “President Recep Tayyip Erdogan regularly talks with his Russian and Iranian counterparts and discusses these issues. In the future, a four-lateral meeting can be held at the level of leaders.”
