Mikheil Kavelashvili: Georgia highly appreciates Türkiye's support

Strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye is getting stronger, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili said during his meeting with Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, Report informs.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on strategic partnership, economic cooperation, and regional projects between the two countries.

Mikheil Kavelashvili stated that Georgia highly appreciates Türkiye's unwavering support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The president added that relations based on mutual trust, national interests, and respect further strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two countries.

"Projects implemented in the region - initiatives in energy, transport, and infrastructure - are indicators of effective partnership and sustainable development between our countries. I believe that this cooperation will reach an even higher level," the president noted.

The meeting also emphasized Georgia's commitment to peace, stability, and cooperation initiatives in the South Caucasus.
