Medvedev: Russia has right to use nuclear weapons if necessary

Russia has the right to use nuclear weapons, if necessary, in strict accordance with nuclear doctrine, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, wrote on his Telegram channel.
"At the same time, Russia will do everything to prevent the appearance of nuclear weapons in its hostile neighbors, for example, in Ukraine," he said, Report informs, citing TASS.
"We will do everything to prevent the appearance of nuclear weapons in neighbors hostile to us. For example, in Nazi Ukraine, which is directly controlled today by NATO countries," he wrote.
According to him, the Russian Federation has the right to use nuclear weapons, if necessary, in strict accordance with the nuclear doctrine.
