The nuclear standoff between the United States and Russia is the dominant fact of their relationship, Report informs via Harpers Magazine.
Citing American foreign policy expert, diplomat, and historian George F. Kennan, Harpers Magazine said that if the United States recklessly embark on a policy that would “restore the atmosphere of the cold war to East-West relations,” this move would be “the most fateful error of American policy in the entire post-cold-war era.”
“The policies that Washington has pursued toward Moscow and Kyiv, often under the banner of righteousness and duty, have created conditions that make the risk of nuclear war between the United States and Russia greater than it has ever been,” the magazine said.
