Former Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will most likely become the foreign affairs minister in the government of the newly-elected President Masoud Pezeshkian, according to the Tasnim agency, Report informs via TASS.
According to sources close to the elected president, Pezeshkian’s political consultants believe that Araghchi is best suited to lead the country’s Foreign Ministry.
Araghchi is already serving as Pezeshkian’s adviser on foreign policy. He, in particular, advised the president-elect during recent telephone conversations with leaders of Islamic resistance groups and heads of state in the region.
