Martial law in Ukraine extended for another 30 days

Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine has adopted a bill to extend the martial law in the country for another 30 days, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said.

Report informs, citing UNIAN, that the martial law will be in force from April 25 to May 25.

On April 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sent a bill to Verkhovna Rada to extend martial law in the country.

The Russian troops launched military operations in Ukraine on February 24. On that date, martial law was imposed in Ukraine. Then this regime was extended. On March 15, the parliament passed a law "On the extension of the martial law in Ukraine" in a closed session. Later this period was extended twice.
