The meeting with the Azerbaijani president was very important, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili told journalists in Antalya, Report informs.
According to Bochorishvili, the meeting was significant for discussing key issues in terms of relations between the two countries:
"The Antalya Diplomatic Forum is an important opportunity to increase attention to the South Caucasus. The South Caucasus region will be one of the main topics of discussion within the forum."
The minister said that the participation of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia in the forum will create an opportunity for a joint discussion of views on regional cooperation.
"This is an important opportunity to voice Georgia's position and contribute to ensuring peace and security in the region," Bochorishvili noted.
She also said that within the forum, the Georgian prime minister spoke at the leaders' panel and had the opportunity to talk about urgent issues for the country.
"The meeting with the Azerbaijani president is important for once again discussing key issues in terms of relations between the two countries," Bochorishvili added.
