Russia is preparing a major operation to interfere in Moldova's upcoming parliamentary elections, scheduled for this fall, President Maia Sandu warned in a televised address to the nation.
According to the Eastern European bureau of Report, Sandu stated that the alleged interference extends beyond the Russia-influenced region of Transnistria.
"Russias plan is to take control of the situation throughout all of Moldova. That plan is already in motion," Sandu declared.
The president called on Moldovan citizens to remain vigilant.
