Maduro thanks Erdogan

President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro has thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Report informs, citing his Twitter account.

"The expanded bilateral meeting between the delegations of the Republic of Turkiye and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela was held successfully. We are strengthening various alliances of cooperation and common development between our peoples. I thank President Erdogan," he tweeted.

The Venezuelan President paid an official visit to Turkiye yesterday. During the visit, he met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The sides discussed bilateral relations and regional issues, including economic cooperation.

After the official meetings, Maduro also met with the staff of the popular TV series "Kurulus Osman". The Venezuelan President said he was satisfied with the meetings with the actors of the series and shared his photos on social media. "Thanks for this wonderful meeting with the actors of the Kurulus: Osman series and for getting to know the culture of the Turkish people. We are trying to further strengthen the cultural integration of our fraternal peoples," Maduro said.
