Lukashenko: No need for additional observers on conditional border between Armenia and Azerbaijan

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said on Tuesday that he does not see the need for additional observers to the conditional border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing TASS.

"Why to send more observers there from Belarus, Russia and other countries?" he said during a meeting with CSTO Secretary-General Stanislav Zas.

The CSTO Collective Security Council will again consider the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in late November.

Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that the country's authorities addressed the OSCE for sending observers from these organizations to the conditional border with Azerbaijan to monitor the situation.

Moreover, Lukashenko noted that CSTO need to work actively to resolve the conflicts between the countries.

"The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan must be ended. The escalation on the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan must be reduced," he said.
