Lavrov unveils reasons behind Russia’s departure from CoE

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has unveiled the reasons why his country quit the Council of Europe, Report informs citing TASS.

“This decision has been taken long ago as this institution has completely fallen into degradation,” the Russian top diplomat said in an interview with RBC.

Sergey Lavrov also added that Ukraine’s neutral status was being discussed in the ongoing negotiations with Kyiv.
