Lavrov meets with Syrian delegation on UN General Assembly sidelines

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has held a meeting with representatives of the Syrian delegation on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

As Report informs, this was announced by the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on Telegram.

"The second day at the UN General Assembly for the Russian delegation began with a meeting with representatives of Syria," Zakharova wrote.

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani attended at the meeting.

"It's important to discuss the current state of our relations. Events are developing very quickly," Lavrov said before the start of the meeting.
