Kobakhidze: Georgia working on projects for customs checkpoints with Azerbaijan, Armenia

Georgia is actively working on joint customs checkpoint projects with Azerbaijan and Armenia, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at an event marking International Customs Day, Report informs.

He stated that these projects are a successful example of regional cooperation and serve to further expand the country's transit and logistics potential.

"With the support of the Asian Development Bank, work is actively underway on joint customs checkpoint projects with Azerbaijan and Armenia. This is a clear example of regional cooperation," the head of government noted.

Kobakhidze also emphasized that Georgia has successfully implemented a new computerized transit system compatible with European Union systems.
