Kazakhstan to freeze prices for raw and commercial gas until January 2024

Kazakhstan will increase the production of socially important food products, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Report informs citing Kazinform.
He said the production of food staples will be ramped up to saturate the domestic market and prevent their shortage. The first stage of the creation of the National Commodity Distribution System will also be implemented, he noted.
“The domestic market will be provided with additional 150,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas. Prices for raw and commercial gas will remain fixed until January 1, 2024 at the level of December last year,” he added.
