Kazakhstan setting up command of Special Operations Forces

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev decreed on January 19, 2022, to establish the command of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces, Report informs, citing Zakon.kz.
The new structure is being created in order to improve the system for ensuring the national security of Kazakhstan.
In addition, amendments and addenda are being made to some acts of the president on the appointment of commanders-in-chief and commanders of the Armed Forces.
