The Kazakh authorities are counting on the support of the US in creating a UN center for the Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty, Report informs referring to the press service of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev following his participation in the meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and the US.
Kazakhstan counts on US support in creating a UN regional center for the Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty, the statement said. The meeting took place in New York on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
During the discussion, the leaders of the Central Asian countries and the US touched upon the prospects for strengthening cooperation in solving security problems, including cyber threats, terrorism, violent extremism, illegal migration and drug trafficking.
