Italian Embassy in Iran resumes operations in Tehran

The Italian Embassy in Iran resumed its operations in Tehran on June 19.
According to ISNA, cited by Report, the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Italy in Iran has restored its activities.
On March 5, the embassy's staff of 53 people was evacuated from Iran in stages via Azerbaijan following the outbreak of military hostilities.
On March 6, Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, announced that the country's embassy in Tehran had been temporarily closed and that its diplomatic mission would continue operating from Baku.
Following the signing of an agreement between Iran and the United States aimed at ending the military conflict, a number of foreign embassies in Iran are resuming their activities.
