Istanbul may host Russia-Ukraine talks

Peace talks between representatives of Russia and Ukraine are expected to be held in Istanbul, Yeni Safak said, citing military sources, Report informs.
According to the information, currently, it is impossible for official Moscow to agree to negotiations elsewhere: "Türkiye is the only country that can talk to both sides. This increases the probability that the supposed agreement will be reached in Istanbul."
The source said that official Ankara takes kindly to mediating and hosting negotiations between Russia and Ukraine: "The planned visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Türkiye is a sign that this process can be completed quickly under the leadership of Türkiye."
