Istanbul Airport to resume operations

Istanbul Airport, which stopped receiving flights due to snowfall, will resume work after 13:00, Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Eksi said, Report informs.
“Active work is underway to clean up the runways. After 13:00 the airport will resume its activities,” the CEO tweeted.
Deteriorating weather conditions have led to difficulties and numerous accidents in different regions of Turkey. Meteorologists have warned that the snowfall will intensify and continue for a week. Earlier, the Istanbul authorities also suspended sea traffic along the Bosphorus due to persistent poor visibility amid the ongoing snowfall.
