Iranian prisons witness mass hunger strikes against executions

Mass protests have erupted in 18 prisons across Iran under the banner “Tuesday Without Execution”, Report informs via Iran International.
These protests have been ongoing for 29 weeks.
The movement began in Evin Prison in Tehran and has since spread to prisons in Karaj, Khurramabad, Shiraz, Khoy, Naghadeh, Tabriz, Urmia, Ardabil, Salmas, Saqqez, Ban, Marivan, Kamaran, Rasht, and Mashhad starting from August 13.
Over 45 prisoners were executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison within a single week.
