Nine senior officials and employees of the Abadan Petrochemical plant located in Abadan, Iran, have been arrested, Report informs via Mehr.
No details were provided about their identities, positions, or the specifics of the charges.
The prosecutor's office is reportedly carrying out measures related to various charges in the city. A while ago, a corruption scandal at the plant was described as "the biggest fraud in Iranian history." The main charge in that criminal case was "participating in and assisting macroeconomic violations in the petrochemical sector."
