The United States has consistently rejected Iran's compromise proposals from the very beginning of the negotiations, and insisted on conditions deemed unacceptable by Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with IRNA, Report informs.
“The US insisted on achieving a goal we consider impossible — namely, ‘zero enrichment,’” Araghchi stated.
He also criticized Washington for sending mixed signals through intermediaries and making contradictory public statements.
“One of our main issues is that we have not received a clear message from the Americans. The negotiations kept shifting, and the messages were inconsistent. It seems the US side may not have made a final decision yet,” Araghchi added.
