Iran accuses Israel of attacking Defense Ministry facility

A preliminary investigation into the attack on an Iranian Defense Ministry facility in Isfahan showed that Israel was responsible for the attack, Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic to the UN Amir Saeid Jalil Iravani said, Report informs referring to TASS.

“The results of the preliminary investigation indicate that the Zionist regime is responsible for the terror attack on the Defense Ministry facility in the city of Isfahan, the actions of this regime violate international law and are condemned,” Iravani said in a letter sent to the UN secretary-general and the chairman of the UN Security Council.

On the night of January 29, IRNA reported that a strong explosion had taken place in the city of Isfahan, located in the central part of Iran. Later, the country’s Ministry of Defense stated that on January 28, an unsuccessful attack was made on one of the department’s centers using drones.
