The capital of Armenia, Yerevan, lags behind the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, in a number of economic indicators, according to a study by experts from the world-renowned statistical resource Numbeo, Report informs.
It is noted that rent prices in Baku are 50.1% lower than in Yerevan. At the same time, services in public catering establishments in the capital of Armenia are more expensive than in the capital of Azerbaijan. For example, restaurant prices in Baku are 26% lower than in Yerevan.
Numbeo experts also found that groceries prices in Baku are 20% lower than in Yerevan. According to the study results, the purchasing power of residents in the capital of Azerbaijan is 36.7% higher than that of residents in the Armenian capital.
