Informal CIS summit began in St. Petersburg

An informal summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has kicked off in St. Petersburg, Report informs, citing Russian media.
Russian President Vladimir Putin opened the meeting noting that the presidents decided to work together in preparation for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
On December 20, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in St. Petersburg at the invitation of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to attend an informal meeting of the CIS leaders.
