IAEA chief: Risk of nuclear incident at Kursk nuke plant

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi said that there is a risk of a nuclear incident at the Kursk nuclear power plant, Report informs referring to Russian media.

Grossi noted that he would analyze with Russian experts the issue of how to avoid a nuclear incident.

"Today I was told about several cases of drone attacks on the territory, on the facilities of the [Kursk nuclear] power plant. While at the plant, I saw traces of these attacks," the TASS news agency quotes Grossi as saying.

Grossi also said that he would discuss with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and the issue of expanding the IAEA presence in Ukraine.
