Head of Dagestan urges locals to refrain from traveling to other Russian regions

The situation in Dagestan is calm, all security services are working like a clock, the head of Russia’s Dagestan Republic Sergey Melikov said, Report informs via Interfax.

“In constant contact with colleagues. Additional measures are not yet required, but we are ready for them and will immediately respond if necessary. For the time being, I ask you to refrain, if possible, from traveling to the regions that have declared the CTO (counter-terrorist operation) regime,” Melikov wrote on Telegram.

Melikov also urged Dagestanis to trust only official sources.
