Hakan Fidan: YPG fails to comply with March agreement

The YPG, one of the Syrian branches of the PKK terrorist organization, is not complying with the agreement reached in March, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated during a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart, Asaad al-Shaibani, Report informs.

According to Fidan, the YPG must abandon its strategy of delaying implementation: “They will not achieve their goals under any circumstances. The path forward is clear—it’s time to take steps aligned with the new spirit and phase in the region.”

The minister also issued a direct appeal to YPG leadership:

“Once again, I call on the YPG leadership to stop posing a threat to Türkiye and the region, and to engage with official Damascus to fulfill the terms of the agreement.”
