Hakan Fidan, Marco Rubio mull Baku-Yerevan peace process

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has discussed the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during his visit to the United States, Report informs via Haber Global.

The meeting between the heads of foreign affairs departments of the two countries took place in Washington.

The parties emphasized the importance of contacts with the Syrian administration, expressing determination in ensuring stability in this country and fighting terrorism. The importance of a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza was also noted, and the necessity of this issue for regional peace.

Along with efforts to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine, discussions were also held regarding the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It was emphasized that Ankara supports Washington's efforts regarding the Ukrainian conflict.

It was also noted that stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina is of great importance for the Balkan region.
