Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov joins Council of Elders of Organization of Turkic States

Former President of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the National Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has become a member of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States said, Report informs, citing TRT Avaz.

"The Secretariat is honored to be a member of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and will further enrich the potential of the Council of Elders with its noble wisdom, experience and knowledge," the statement said.

It should be noted that Turkmenistan joined the Organization of Turkic States only last year as an observer member.
