President Salome Zourabichvili of Georgia has granted pardons to 12 convicted individuals, Report informs via Georgian media.
According to the official statement, nine of the convicts will be completely freed from serving their sentences in penitentiary institutions, while two will have their remaining prison terms reduced. Additionally, one convict who was serving a conditional sentence has also been granted clemency.
The crimes committed by the pardoned individuals and their genders have not been disclosed.
