Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has labeled the campaign against the "Foreign Agents" law as shameful, Report informs.
In a statement to reporters, the prime minister emphasized that every country values its sovereignty.
"The adoption of the transparency law in Canada, of course, serves to prevent foreign influences and protect the country's sovereignty. Based on this, the campaign against the transparency law in Georgia was a complete farce. The example of Canada is yet another clear confirmation of this. Criticizing the law without any arguments is simply shameful," Kobakhidze stated.
On June 19, the Senate of Canada approved a bill aimed at combating foreign interference. This move comes amidst growing concerns about foreign meddling in domestic affairs, an issue that has gained prominence in recent years.
