Baku. 9 October. REPORT.AZ/ The Georgian parliament has put off the discussions of the bill on planting marijuana for export purposes.
Report informs citing the Georgian bureau that the due decision was adopted at the board session based on the health committee's appeal.
By another decision, the discussion of the legislative package envisaging tougher administrative and criminal responsibility for the use of marijuana has been postponed for a month. The parliament approved the indicated bill in the first reading.
Notably, the bill permitting marijuana export caused strong objections of the country's Patriarchate and most religious communities.
