The Georgian Parliament has approved the bill banning LGBT propaganda and gender change in its final reading, Report informs referring to Georgian media.

The draft law "On the Protection of Family Values ​​and Minors" was supported by 84 members of the Georgian Parliament. No one voted against.

According to the draft new law, same-sex marriages, gender reassignment, adoption of children by non-heterosexual people, propaganda and promotion of LGBT in educational institutions and the media, demonstrations in support of LGBT, etc. are prohibited.

"An initiative such as the draft law "On the Protection of Family Values ​​and Minors", which so comprehensively reflects the interests of our society, is rare," said Rati Ionatamishvili, a member of parliament from the ruling Georgian Dream party. The law will be sent to President Salome Zourabichvili for signature.
