Tbilisi. 2 November. REPORT.AZ/ The Georgian government will withdraw the bill, which envisages for planting marijuana for medical and cosmetic exports purpose.
The Local Bureau of Report News Agency informs that the due statement came from Georgian parliament speaker Irakli Kobahidze after today’s meeting with Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.
He said that the withdrawal of the draft law from the legislature body is related to the attitude of society to this issue.
Notably, Georgian Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia also attended the meeting held with Ilia II.
The Georgian Parliament postponed the discussion of the indicated draft law for two months at the beginning of last month. Georgian Patriarchate and most religious communities criticized the draft law, prepared by the government.
