Georgia is working actively on the issue of opening land borders with Azerbaijan, the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Business Media, Report's Georgian bureau informs.
The issue of opening land borders between Georgia and Azerbaijan has been repeatedly discussed during bilateral official and business meetings. Currently, Azerbaijan has not made a decision to open land borders with Georgia, Iran and Russia.
“The Foreign Ministry and the Georgian Embassy in Azerbaijan are also actively working to mitigate possible restrictions, but due to the current situation, some rules still remain in force,” the ministry noted.
Azerbaijan’s land borders with Georgia have been closed since March 14, 2020.
