Georgian citizens arrested for joining ISIS

Five Georgian citizens were found guilty of membership in a terrorist organization and aiding and abetting terrorist activities, according to the decision of the Tbilisi City Court, Report's local bureau informs.
Evidence examined during the trial and the investigation confirmed that a Georgian citizen had joined the Islamic State terrorist organization and involved four more of his compatriots in the group.
The new members planned to leave for Syria to fight on the side of the 'Islamic State' (IS or ISIS), a terrorist organization outlawed in many countries.
The court sentenced a person accused of aiding and abetting a foreign terrorist organization to 12 years in prison, and each of the four accused of membership in a terrorist organization to 10 years in prison.
