As of October 15, the Central Election Commission of Georgia has registered 64 international organizations to observe the parliamentary elections, which has already surpassed the figures for all parliamentary elections held since 2008, Report informs via Georgian media.

According to statistics, 48 international organizations observed the parliamentary elections in 2020, 55 in 2016, 61 in 2012, and 62 in 2008.

The registration of international observer organizations will continue until October 22. After the completion of applications and verifications, the Central Election Commission of Georgia will publish the number of observers from each organization on its website.

The parliamentary elections in Georgia will take place on October 26. The main competition will be between the ruling Georgian Dream party and the opposition. For the first time, parliamentary elections in Georgia will be held using an electronic voting system - new ballots and a special counting machine will be used. New technologies will be applied at 90% of polling stations.
