Georgia will buy the next batch of Javelin anti-tank missile systems from the United States to increase its defense capabilities, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said at a government meeting, Report informs.
According to him, the US Department of State has decided to sell additional Javelin systems worth $ 30 million to Georgia in 2021: "The Georgian Defense Ministry will receive Javelin equipment as soon as possible under an agreement between the two countries. The purchase of equipment worth $ 26,246,866 will be funded by the US and the Georgian state budget."
Georgia bought the first batch of Javelin systems in 2018.
