Georgia passes law banning NGOs from state decision-making

The Georgian parliament has passed a bill prohibiting Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) from participating in state decision-making, Report informs.
The new law, approved with 81 votes in favor, introduces amendments to 14 different normative acts. It eliminates the mandatory involvement of NGOs in governance processes, including the selection of members for the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Council of Prosecutors, and the Disciplinary College of Judges.
