"The third wave of the coronavirus pandemic is expected in Georgia," Georgian Health Minister Ekaterina Tikaradze, the local bureau of the Report reports.
The Minister did not rule out that the restrictions will be applied again: "I am convinced that there is a public responsibility among the population to follow the recommendations and rules. If our people follow the pandemic rules, it will be possible to prevent the third wave. "
A chief epidemiologist Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health said that the country's epidemiological situation has been deteriorating in recent days.
According to him, there is a need to tighten control over the implementation of the recommendations.
