Georgia may deploy additional border police to Keshikchidag

"If there is a need to mobilize additional border police forces in the Keshikchidag area, the Georgian government will decide on this issue," local Bureau of Report quotes Deputy Interior Minister Nino Tsatsiashvili.

According to him, no provocation is expected in connection with Keshikchidag: "The Interior Ministry will do everything possible to ensure the safety of every citizen."

Notably, on June 4, the State Border Service received information that a group of Georgian citizens would commit provocative actions violating the state border on the territory of the "Keshikchidag" State Historical and Cultural Reserve on the Azerbaijani-Georgian state border.
